Packers And Movers After Recession

Many sources claiming that the worst economic downturn is now over and that the recovery may only few months away it is therefore an appropriate time to take stock of what is happening in the market with respect to the Packers and Movers industry. With the country having stable govt one can expect the Indian govt to make massive improvements in the road network and highways across the country and this will go a long way in boosting the Packers and Movers industry which is definitely making rapid strides towards economic development.
The transport industry has been taking the brunt of economic slowdown and is slowly picking up .The freight rates have now become stable and the carriers are able to increase the rates steadily. Thus enabling them to have higher revenue and decent profits. The industry is going through a rapid phase of change with the customers looking for one stop solutions enabling the Packers and Movers company to equip itself with various services with the Packers and Movers industry such as transportation fleet management warehousing 3PL etc.
The company are making extra efforts in providing innovative solutions to its customers with its range of end to end solutions like packaging labeling primary and secondary transportations delivery of goods and managing their warehousing to ensuring that the product reaches the end user alongwith many other value added services.
With the Indian economy to grow at 6 plus percentage, there would be no doubt that Packers and Movers industry would fare better in this fiscal year.
With retail segment making inroads in to the Indian economy although it has slowed down its pace in the last one year there is no doubt that retail industry would revive enabling the 3pl business to boom and reach $90 milion by 2012.
Packers and Movers will register exciting growth in the next 2 years as manufacturing retail and real and real estate which currently are under severe stress will return to their buoyancy more companies are turning towards 3PL as it helps them bring down conventional Packers and Movers costs and handle more complicated tasks. Companies are eager to expand into new market which are creating more Packers and Movers challenges This is driving more companies to enter into tie ups with providers who are already operating in global markets.

We at Agarwal Packers and Movers (P) Ltd who have been watching the flow of events have been able to cope up with the slow down mainly due to the fact that we had invested into the asset almost two years back . During this period we had tried to consolidate our operations by carefully cutting unwanted costs and putting things in its place. We have developed our own workshop for maintance of truck has helped us to keep our operating cost under check. The Relocation segment was slow in the last 3 quarters due to many companies postponing the transfers and promotions is now picking up and we would hopefully do very well in the coming season .The company overall has grown at 15% over the last year.  The warehouses which the company built in the last two years have started giving results and the overall growth in all the segments viz relocation, Contract Packers and Movers  Small parcel and the warehousing have done satisfactorily in 2009-10.
